At Koldkur Transport, we prioritize a positive environmental impact, and we take different steps into our future for the sake of the environment.
Above all, we prioritize premium equipment. We purchase fuel saving tires with a low rolling resistance and trucks with engines that live up to the EU-norms. Our equipment is manufactured in accordance with existing laws and according to the various transportations, in order to secure that as much possible tonnage is transported in every vehicle.
Our fleet management system along with an efficient and business-aimed IT system for resource management provide us with the best possibilities of organizing our vehicles as effectively as possible. This contributes to limiting empty trips and to making use of our fleet of cars in the most efficient way.

We value eco-friendly driving highly and have thus invested in on-road and fuel-saving technology for all our trucks to be able to use the fuel to its full extent. By using this system, we can analyse the driving pattern of our pilots in details. In close cooperation with the individual pilot, we work targeted on optimizing both overrunning clutch (freewheeling), speed adjustment, empty trips, idling but also the use of engine, gears, and cruise control.
Our targeted collaboration in our company regarding a greener future therefore improves our environmental impact by reducing our CO2 emissions.

Our drivers save fuel with ECO-Drive.
In all our cabins, drivers are assisted by the ECO-Drive dashboard, which provides crucial information on fuel consumption and traffic safety.
ECO-Drive helps lower diesel consumption and reduces the need for vehicle maintenance. The technology analyzes driving behavior and assists the driver in optimizing their driving style, thereby reducing fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, maintenance costs, and the risk of accidents and incidents.
EU Standards and Tire Pressure.
We consistently purchase fuel-efficient tires with the lowest rolling resistance, along with trucks that feature engines meeting the latest Euro standards.
Tires with low rolling resistance are the most energy-efficient, meaning that less power—and therefore less fuel—is required to move the truck. Our in-house workshop regularly inspects the trucks, allowing us to achieve additional fuel savings by consistently ensuring optimal tire pressure
We plan with the aim of minimizing empty trips.
To optimize transport efficiency and reduce empty trips, we’ve implemented a strategy where our sales team actively seeks products to transport on return journeys when a truck would otherwise be running empty. This is done through collaboration between our two departments, JCK and HJT, where we coordinate loading to ensure that our vehicles are never running empty.
For instance, if JCK needs a load picked up from a specific location and HJT already has a truck in the area, HJT’s trailer can bring the load back. This ensures that every trip is fully optimized.
Additionally, we have a master driver who continually monitors diesel prices to advise our drivers on the most economical refueling times. He also oversees and optimizes driving patterns, training drivers in more efficient techniques.
Although in some cases we are restricted to transporting a single customer's products due to specific requirements, our overall goal is to avoid empty trips and thus reduce our environmental impact.
